The Utica SFH oil fired boiler is based on hot
water system.
Both the Startfire III and the SW series are Utica products that represent a good choice for installing a
new boiler or replacing the one you already have.
Both these series are highly efficient,
dependable and easily to maintain. The new design and quality components make these boilers
economic and a smart choice for all the houses that require hot water heating and decide to
use an oil fuel.
The Startfire III and SW Series are efficiency
rated with 86%. They are environmental friendly products that are going to lower the energy
consume and the fuel bill.

The oil fired boiler has a wet base design that contributes to
the increasing of the efficiency by surrounding the combustion chamber with water from all five sides and
insulating it this way. Utica claims that with the energy and fuel savings the Startfire III and SW Series
will end up paying for themselves in few years.
The Utica Startfire
III and SW Series are made of cast iron material that is very resistant, and provide efficient heating
transfer. The heat exchanger is made of cast iron sections and push nipples. With the usage of high quality
cast iron and the special design, the Utica Startfire III and SW boiler Series will perform at its maximum
capacity for many years without servicing.
The maintenance and periodical inspection can be easily
effectuated through a sturdy cast iron swing door and extra large flue ways in the combustion areas. The flue
ways areas can be easily accessed through an integrated two-part draft hood. A recessed target wall increases
the chamber size. The target wall protects the combustion chamber from accidental flue brush damage during
regular maintenance procedures. The boiler is extremely easy to access and all parts are at reach so the time
spent for cleaning and inspecting will significantly decrease.
The Utica SW Series boiler runs with the Beckett AFII oil burner
but the Startfire III is designed to function with several types of oil fuels. Specialists’ advice is to use
manufacturer approved oil burners such as Beckett, Carlin and Riello.
When using the Sratfire III or SW oil fired boilers you can opt for a tankless hot water
coil. It comes with off set tappings in order to speed the installation process and service. The tankless heater
functions best with flow control and tempering valve and is appropriate for most installations providing domestic
hot water.
